What are some examples of sprayed cardboard? I recently got a new tanks and it came cardboard inside (like the ones with pictures and show all the equipment inside). Would this cardboard be safe? I threw it away because I didn't want to give them something that could have been sprayed, but am still wondering if I should've kept it.
I was also wondering if printer paper was safe?
Btw I currently use poster boards like the ones used for school projects at the dollar tree.

I don't really know what sprayed cardboard is, but I just put the cardboard that came in my aquarium under it to protect the counter from scratches. It felt weirdly dusty and I worried about the ink.
I give mine printer paper occasionally, when I make gerbil snowflakes. Not any that's been printed on though

Neither do I... and I can't find where I saw "sprayed cardboard" in the thread I was looking at. So I guess never mind!
Good to know that printer paper is safe, I can probably give them torn up pieces for them to chew on or make bedding out of.

There has been some speculation that some external cardboard boxes (the outer box from your deliveries) might be sprayed with disinfectants which could be harmful, so I'd suggest avoiding that. The packing paper inside and cardboard that hasn't been in contact with the outside world should be ok.

Oh yes, I never use cardboard from packages because I don't know where it comes from. Good to know the packaging and boxes inside are okay. I ordered a niteangel product that came in a box that I wanted to use. Thanks!
