Hi all! I’m a bit of a worrier and have a lot of anxiety surrounding my little gerbils as I’m always keen to do my absolute best for them. I’ve ordered them some new toys from a small business online who sell handmade toys for rats, mice, gerbils, guinea pigs and rabbits. I’ve had a good chat with the lovely owners of the business who have told me that most of the wood in the wooden toys is kiln dried pine, which I know is safe for gerbils. There are painted beads on the products which are painted with non-toxic water based paints (which are fine), but they are unsure what type of wood the beads are made from. All of the customer reviews are 5 star and nobody has had any issues, but I can’t see anyone that has used them with gerbils. The owners have mice who chew and destroy the toys (like my gerbils will!) and they have been safe for them and they’ve had no issues, but I’m still just conscious that I can’t find anyone who has gerbils to say that they’re 100% fine.
If mice have chewed and destroyed the toys and they’ve not been an issue and have been safe, will my gerbils be okay with them? Obviously I know that they’re sold as small rodent toys so they should be safe, I’m just a huge worrier and don’t want anything to hurt my babies.

Impossible for us to say with 100% certainty, but seeing as mice have chewed them without any problems, I would've thought gerbils will be fine too?
