A friend is cleaning out her mom's basement and says that there might a 150 gallon tank in there. She told me if she finds it I can have it for free. Space for me is limited so if someone could provide the dimensions that would be great. If it's not terrible I'll take up the offer because that would be an awesome upgrade from the 30g's my gerbils live in right now. My car is a toyota corolla. If it won't fit in the car it's probably too big...:-D I know there's a lot of models (tall, long, shallow, etc) so if somebody has 150g's and would like to share their dimensions so I can get a good idea, that would be great.

Err, yea I'd imagine they'd be a range of sizes. Can't she just measure it for you? (assuming she finds it). For what it's worth, this site (linked in the Gerbil FAQ>Housing) gives the following dimensions for a typical 150 Gallon Tank as 72 x 18 x 27 inches, 182.9 x 45.7 x 68.6cm (a couple of other sites agree). That's a great size btw , greater volume than my 7ft one!

okaay, then. maybe not. yeah. She hasn't found the tank yet so she doesn't really remember how big. But, presumably, too big for me.

Aww that's a shame, won't it fit in the boot (trunk) of your car?
