I brought this food home in 2020 from the Bradford Gerbil Show but didn't really analyse foods in the same way back then - But they absolutely loved it - it was so rich in seeds.
But now I have got more into it - I repurchased this amazing food and can say that apart from the red millet seeds - they absolutely still love it. There are a few bits left over scattered about the enclosure but that is probably more to do with my over-feeding than their unwillingness to eat it all.
They do a wide range of lovely-looking foods too - and their hamster one is amazing too - they loved it. Bit more grainy - but still well accepted. I used to feed the Johnsons Hamster and Gerbil food - so just wondering if I could switch to the Little One Hamster PLUS Gerbil instead? Just need to analyse the figures and take into account all the live food I feed on the protein.
Hams Little One: Protein 13.2g - Fat 6.4g
Gerb Little One: Protein 11.9g - Fat 4.9g
Also I need to feed less - as they are so varied and more exotic ingredients (around 20 different wholefoods) you just want to scoop it all in. I should definitely watch the amounts fed (as it is more expensive weight for weight too because of this).
Ingredients:
wheat puffed wheat red millet barley flakes
maize puffed barley puffed barley dried banana
maize red canary seed maize flakes carob
buckwheat pea flakes peanut sweet lupin flakes
spray millet pumpkin seeds bean flakes sunflower seeds
dried carrot yucca extract
