That's really great to hear. I'm so glad he's doing a little better! As for the other gerbs, I'm glad to hear you've managed to sell two of them. It really does start to improve and I hope you can find ways to sell more of them. Euthanizing is never fun, so it's always best to see what you can do besides that.

Update on him. He's doing so good! I'll try to pair him with a pup as soon as I figure out their sexes. I'll keep letting him run around his playpen now and then.

Great to hear! I just replied on your other thread about him, so pretty much everything is there, but I thought I'd still reply on this one

Not really anything. I lost a gerb today. I gave no idea what happened. These are pups are inbred so maybe it was something like that? I haven't sexed the pups yet either. They all look the same so I'm pretty confused. And I can't get pics to upload. Thank you for asking.

The one I said I lost, she's still breathing, is the hibernating? Or dying

Hello again, I found your thread now. I almost never go into the Health or Death areas, it's something I can't deal with too well. So I missed your updates.
It's heartbreaking to see what you've been through, and I agree with the others that you are doing a great job trying to save your gerbils and fix the problems. You seem to be an incredibly loving and caring person, willing to take responsibilities.
This forum is so great, there is always someone there to help. I'm glad you were not alone in those days, and I hope everything has calmed down a bit in the meantime.
Good luck to you with your gerbils!

I haven't sexed the pups yet either. They all look the same so I'm pretty confused. And I can't get pics to upload. I usually use ImgBB since it seems to be pretty easy... you can get to it through this link. Once you click on it, you should go to a page that has a big blue button in the center that says 'start uploading'. Click that. It'll take you to your computer (phone, or iPad) folder, so whatever you have saved to your computer drive, you can see there. Click on the image that you want. You should see the image you chose, beneath that, you'll see a dropdown menu that's labeled 'auto delete' (it should be on 'don't autodelete'). Below that will be a green button that says 'upload' click that. Now you should see your picture, a dropdown menu labeled 'embed codes' and a box with a link in it. The dropdown menu is important. If you want it to be a link in your post that leads to the image, leave the drop down as it is, but if you want it to be a direct image in your post than click on the dropdown. You can ignore everything except the BBcodes section. In that section you should see 'BBCode full' 'BBCode full linked' 'BBCode medium linked' and, 'BBCode thumbnail linked'. These are sizes, with BBCode full as the biggest, and then they get progressively smaller, all the way down to BBCode thumbnail linked. Now, once you have the linking as you like, (whether it was necessary to do anything or not) you should see below the link drop down, the box with the link in it. If you mouse over the box, there'll be a little button that says 'copy' on the top right of the box. Click that, and now the link is copied to your clipboard! Paste it into your post wherever you like, and then you have your image. Here are all the sizes offered. BBCode full BBCode full linked (as you can see, pretty much the same as BBCode full). BBCode medium linked BBCode thumbnail linked Yes, as Icecontroller2529 said, most people don't have the care you seem to when things go south. I totally understand that it can be so difficult to take care of them when it's just so stressing, and it feels like you're stuck in a cramped room with so few options. Many people will kind of shut down in that situation, even not taking care of the gerbs anymore in some cases. They'll do anything they can to just be out of it as fast as possible, and this often doesn't end well for the gerbils. But it's so great you take such care to make sure the gerbils are as happy as you can make them. So definitely don't be too hard on yourself for it, you're doing an awesome job in a bad situation, and you're doing it well!

Thank you so, so much for all the kind words, from everyone. I get the feeling of the world caving in on you. I'm sad to say that I woke up and the gerbil had passed. Thanks for sticking around and I'll try the photos soon.

So to refresh everyone memory: I now have 4 boys living peacefully. 2 boys who got out of split cage and bonded perfectly. 5 assorted, mom+pups need sexing, I will work on getting photos up. 1 old female (she was in split cage with the gerb that recently passed). 1 boy living alone. I hope that 1 pup is atleast a boy so the last gerb has a companion. Thank you so much, everyone. You have made my life a million times better. Thank you all so much for sticking with me through thick and thin. I will try my best to be more consistent with updates.

So glad to hear things are looking up! No worries about updates! Whenever you can, or feel like it. Yeah, if you put the baby (hopefully one is a male) in with your single male when they're still really young, they should bond just fine. Usually when a male hasn't even been a dad before, they naturally have a bit of a maternal instinct that kicks in. I've done this for up to three, even four months but it can get risky then, just doing an intro right away. But if you can do it within like six to eight weeks (even ten) it remains easier. So fingers crossed you shouldn't have any trouble with that. You can probably do that with your older female too, (if you have trouble pairing her with others). Again, I'm so, so glad it's going better!

I will try to create an adof gerbs for sale on online platforms. But I still need to sex those pups then pair them, the two boys are good to go so far. I live in Saskatchewan, Canada. I can't take care of everyone anymore, it's really overwhelming and I feel guilty on not spending enough time with everyone. They are free to a good home. I can deliver, depends where you live. They do not come with cage but I can throw in some hay, bedding and food if you want. I can maybe even deliver to AB or BC, it depends. Thank you

I don't know how many online places you can post, but I know Craigslist is a good place to advertise. You could also make a small one-page website just saying the basic information. I've done that before, but it can be a little complicated. Also, a big thing is just to spread the word. If you can have friends who can spread the word for you, great. Just try to get it out there hear-say that you've got gerbils for sale. I also know a few people near your area that might be interested. I'll let them know, and I hope they can get a pair. Did the picture thing work out? I hope it made some sense and you're able to use it.
Anyway, good luck with selling the gerbs!

Thank you so much! To be honest I haven't even tried the photo stuff. But, today may be the day I do. I guess we'll see.
