Hi everyone. Most of you have probably just moved on from this as I pretty much ditched you all. I'm so very sorry. A lot has happened and I just couldn't stand it. I now only have my 4 boys and the mom and her 4 pups. I still haven't separated them and need to asap. Thank you all so much for everything in the past. You have all been so good to me and it means a lot. I will continue updating until no longer necessary. Thank you all

I hope things are going okay. If you need any help determining the sexes of the pups feel free to post them here. (No worries about posting late). Best of luck with them!

This all sounds really tough and I'm sorry your introduction to gerbils has been so stressful & sad. Sounds like you've done well in a difficult situation. Are you still looking to rehome any gerbils? I also live in Saskatchewan and know of some people who do small animal rescue in Regina & Saskatoon. So they may be willing to take on some gerbils and then they would handle the process of vetting potential adopters. Let me know if you want some contact info or for me to reach out to some people on your behalf. All the best to you & your gerbils.

Just saw the other post you made about keeping your remaining gerbils so I guess you don't need any rescue contacts atm, but feel free to reach out if the situation changes.
Also, maybe someone's already mentioned this, but when I got my gerbils I just wanted to make sure their junk looked the same, and didn't matter whether they were both male or both female. You can put them in clear containers so you can see their junk through the glass or plastic. As male gerbils age their balls become pretty prominent, look for bumps just below the base of their tale on the underside.
Once again, all the best to you & your gerbils.
