Hey guys! I'm new to this forum and still figuring out how it works but anywho I have a question about my sisters gerbils bald spot. He is a young lone gerbil who's brother died a few weeks ago. Recently he has developed a bald spot on his back. I think it's growing and a new one is appearing an the back of his neck. Is it from stress? Borden? HELP!!!! There's no signs of pain and no scratching, squeaking or lethargy. What happened?

No need to worry - this is classic "chew back" - especially if it is all down their spine (mostly symmetrical).
It is almost certainly where they are chewing on something in a tight spot and are absentmindedly rubbing their back on something else but not caring as the chewing is so fun!!!
Gradually, they chew enough away that they can change angle and then rub off all the fur in another spot.
Fingers crossed, you find the 'thing' and it will grow back gradually around their next moult.

Welcome to the forum mike . It could be from boredom, what sort of cage setup has he got? Also, gerbils are normally sociable and like to live with another gerbil, that could be a factor too.
