It shouldn't be LEGAL to have critters this cute on this planet! I jsut spent two hours fishing a gerbil out of my shirt, after he found a nice place to settle down and sleep. The other two are grooming each other and they look like they're getting jiggy with everything in their tank. I swear I saw one humping the food dish and the milk carton. Oh, and for that person whose name escapes me: I removed the rodent litter and have replaced it with corn cob bedding, they seem happier with that instead. Bah, they're too darn cute for words. One thing I did notice, the one who decided my shirt was a good next has very long teeth, any ideas for things to give them to wear their teeth down?

Congrats on your new gerbils! ;D
I give my dog vegetarian (you can give them meat ones too) dog biscuits and dog food, which help with their teeth and give them extra protein. I also really like those coconuts that you can buy from Petcetera for 9dollars. They can chew away the fibers, but once they get down to the actual coconut, they have to work very VERY hard to chew it to pieces. Mine have lasted for years. You can also buy wooden houses and wooden chews. You can even get fruit flavored ones!

Hey congrats on the little ones. Remember pictures ! Okay lets see, Every day they should have something to chew on. Tiolet paper and papertowel rolls are great. They have fruit twigs in the stores that are good. They also have colored blocks or shapes that are all wood which works great "IF" they like them. All four of mine love paper plates. They go crazy chomping on those. Of course it is white paper plates NOT colored, waxed, coated, or styrofoam. That should be a start! Have fun. I guess you have gerbilitis too now, right?

"Gerbilitis" LOL that's what my mom calls it! Yes, the inside tubes of toilet paper and paper towels work very well. My gerbils go crazy for the small dixie cups!
