we has seven tanks and bred angels and caucatoides before we moved here with good planning for as much self-sustainablility as possible our tanks where low maintenance from what I have read though it seems that a lot more fuss is made aobut water chemistry etc than used to be done we obviously did regular weekly tests etc but generally we knew our fish well enough to pick up on any changes before any test were done. mind you tapwater wasn't full of all the chemicals it is now when we started fishkeeping

Hey, Congratulations on your new job. I have to agree that PetSmart is a very nice environment for both the animals and the customers. I am pleased to hear that the employees need to be well educated and are treated well aslo.

Hey do they make you talk to the customers? I noticed a new trend at my local Petsmart with a few different cashiers that attempt to start conversations. Noticeable because each time Igo in, I get asked the exact same questions. lol They seem to start with "What kind of dog(or pets) do you have based on what you buy. If you buy cat stuff, they ask you about your cat.. lol. I like a few of the cashiers, they're nice. But some of the others are like antisocial or just weird in general and it comes out so forced and rehearsed. lol. If its not a Pestmart trend, maybe its just this one.

I know they made us do that when I worked there. We had a phone script too and some of them were pretty dorky. I just talk to customers normally, so I didn't need their lines, but man answering the phone was always interesting....
Petco does,'t have set scripts, but they do want us to solicite for donations every charity drive unceasingly. Blah

Well done on your new job Kenshin,Petsmart are very lucky to have you. Once you get a routine sorted with the pets,you'll be o.k.,wont be half as daunting as it appears now.The daunting part will be the idiot customer's............... ;D
