Well.. First off you could help US help you by trying to clean up your grammar, spelling, punctuation etc. Don't just let you gerbils explore you room. You can either buy or make a barrier that would allow them to roam in a closed area, so they can't get under the door, or so the cats can't get them. I have repetedly said on this forum, DON'T keep cats and gerbils together! Don't even let the cats in your room (if thats where you keep the gerbils) because accidents do happen.

Ryan's right, if you have gerbils you cannot allow them to explore your room if you also have cats that can break into your room. Best thing is to find a way to barr the cats from entering and buying a playpen (such as the one in the lower photos on here - gerbilforum.proboards21.com/index.cgi?board=cheesman&action=display&thread=1093358953&page=1 ) to be sure that they cannot chew wires or escape through any holes. If you do get a playpen, be sure to watch them, as they can escape quite easily as soon as they figure it out I allow my gerbils to run occasionally around my room, but only after I've shut all the doors (bathroom and the way into the hall) and lifted all the wires off the floor. There are no holes, as I helped my dad and the hired builders to make my bedroom, so I'm confident that they're alright for five minutes alone. However, I still try to stay in the room and constantly check they're alright, as accidents do happen. And if you could just check your spelling before you click "Post Reply", it would help a little

Well.. First off you could help US help you by trying to clean up your grammar, spelling, punctuation etc. Now that's not fair & not a nice thing to say. Maybe gerbillover's native language wasn't english so why the insult?

Being straightforward is telling gerbillover to type a little more clearly. I didn't think it was necessary for him to say let the US help him clean up his/her grammar. There are a lot of people on this board that don't type clear english so I think it's unfair to single someone out, native tongue or not.

Although this thread seems to have gone somewhat off topic I just wanted to say something too. I agree with bes that I think Ryan was being a little unfair, I have seen plenty of posts on here that grammar and spelling wise are fairly awful (myself included) that haven't been criticised, so why start doing it now?
Although I also understand that it doesn't take much to copy and paste your posts into a programme like Word and have it spell checked I do this to the vast majority of my posts as I am aware of how appalling my spelling and grammar is and I don't want to make reading this forum difficult for people whose first language isn't English or struggle with reading for whatever reason. (I know there's an in built spell check on here but it's US English and I'd prefer to stick to British English)

Umm.. the "US" meant "us" and in me and the other users on forum, LOL. Wrong place for caps. I just like being able to actually read posts on a forum like this. I was not trying to be mean, condesending, or anything, I just hate so much slang... Anyway, I am a very straitforward kinda guy sometimes and that is one of those times.
