I just wondering, how common is persian jirds where you live? Here in Sweden it not so common, but at least I know we have about 3 breeders

A bit OT maybe..But do you know if gerbilbreeder Marie (lives in Jönköping I belive, calls her self angel_007 at Zoonen) stills going strong? She had a lot of different kinds if gerbilsspecies, Persians to..

Okey..Cus' i know that Marie sold alot of her jirds a while ago so I thought that she maybe stopped breeding all together..

In holland there are perhaps 10 breeders, one of them is me i have 9 persian gerbils. 8 off them are not related to eachother. One is a perfect pup from one of the breeding pairs.
In germany they are common

they're not very common here in South East England - I have about 15 pet shops "locally" to where I live and only one sells Jirds and they're not Persian. I know 1 lady in London who has 2 breeding pairs but she's the only one I know of - I've asked around but can only find the one lady.
So I would say they're pretty rare!

Wow! Are you kiddin' me? My cousin lives in Hilversum close to Utrecht... Now I know how to get persian jirds in the future... Does the breeder got any homepage?

that's woestrat herself who breeds persian in utrecht i'm from the haque and have since september a trisome persian gerbils. i hope to get my first litter next year persian gerbils are realy lovely

Okay, I looked at her homepage but all I could se was a link to a forum, is that all or am I missing something? (I dont know any dutch :S) Is haque a city in the netherlands?
