Oh I would be very jealous then!! I love Bears!!!! They are big and powerful and should be respected..... not made to dance. There are many black bears in the US and some Bown or grizzly bears. When we went to Alaska, we were fortunate enough to see some up close. A mom and her 2 cubs about 1 yr old. I love nature and animals. Why don't people respect nature and habitat?? So sad to see animals dying off and becoming extinct because they have no habitat to live in like the Florida panthers!! OOPS .... sorry, I get carried away. I am quite aggravated about the issue.

I love nature and animals too! I've never seen a bear in the wild, only in zoos. To see bears in Europe you have to travel to Eastern Europe or in the upmost north in Scandinavia! Ohh and some isolated populations in Southern Europe. I can't understand it either why people don't have more respect for animals and their natural habitat. If you like to read more about recently extinct animals, you can also visit another website of me: www.petermaas.nl/extinct. (The website is still under construction!)This is THE website about recently extinct animals, animals extinct in the wild, and rediscovered animals! This website has a English and a Dutch version! Beside extinct animals you will also find pages on endangered animals, like the most endangered animals in Europe. The page on the most endangered animals of North American will be finished soon, I hope. And you will soon see a page on animal species that are saved from extinction. A small positive note! The Florida panthers were used as an example a lot during my study! The problem of the remaining individuals in nowadays inbreeding! As you can see I am quite aggravated about the issue too, and can get carried away too! ;D
