I don't know where this post would be appropriate, but I was just wondering if anyone on the forum has the ability to make their own gene calculator like silvanons. I know that some of us use that calcultor quite a lot because it's fast and straightforward. It being down just means I have to take more time (which is precious right now in the beginning of midterms, work etc.) to figure out simple genetics. It would be soo nice if someone could get another one up and running, maybe even one attached right to the forum. Cheers!

If someone can give an example, or if that's not available, lead me to documentation that will explain how the genetics work, I might be able to program one in a BASIC programming language. If I did so, it would be a program you would have to download, not something you could use off the internet.

Well, josephe, if you can, then go for it. Would love to see what you came up with. here's the link to the old one... the one that doesn't work anymore.... I'm really not sure who to explain it really, but maybe if you take a look, then you'll get the idea? gerbils.silvanon.com/gerbilcalculator/

Well, that's a little above me right now. Maybe someday. Anyway, thanks for all the info.
