Here's a thread to help out with color comparisons and contrasts. Gerbils can vary greatly in color depending recessives. Sometimes it makes it hard to determine their color. Also baby gerbils can be quite similar in color when they're born, and it's sometimes hard to tell what color the pup is. I think the most common 'problem' pups are Nutmegs & Dark Eyed Honeys... especially if they're spotted! Here's some pictures to help you out a little. ******under construction, add some pictures! ********Burmese and Lt. CP Slate gerbils have almost the exact same fur color. The best way to tell them apart is by their nails. LCPS nails: Burmese nails: --- Black and Slate can also look very similar, especially a Black gerbil carrying a colorpoint recessive. Again, a good way to tell them apart is by the nail color. Slate nails: Black nails are black.

An unfinished project I found in the Mods>FAQ build section by mods of the past, still it's a waste to have it languishing in the mod section, so here it is.
