I have also said a colourpoint gerbil, because I get one over some weeks!
But I like also Dark Eyed Honey, Burmese, and Siamese. And just Golden Agouti too, because I like always wild-type colours!

Polar Fox! I love how their black eyes contrast against their ticked white fur. I've never seen one in person though. Maybe I would change my mind if I did! (they always look different in real life) Next favourite would be DEH, Siamese and Black. Oh well, I love them all!

My fav's are all the various Colourpoints, yes any of them i love seeing the darkened points. My next best favourite would have to be a DEH. They are the most popular choice at the shows lately ( or so it seems ) Darren

Are you going to shows yourself? With your own gerbils?

I can't really decide on a favourite colour too. But I think I would like to own gerbils of these colours in future.
Black: Black gerbils are just so silky, with their black coat and dark eyes! I think I prefer those totally black ones without a white fib down the neck.
White: Maybe a ruby-eyed white. I've read that there really isn't a true albino gerbil yet? What we have are only "mock albinos"?
Agouti: Definitely would like to own one! After all this is the natural colorof gerbils! I've seen pictures of wild gerbils. They look somewhat different from domestic ones. The natural color is one of the best looking ones, I think.
Nutmeg: I'm very curious about this colour. Especially since the nutmegs go through a molting process before becoming a full nutmeg! I think they look very nice throughout the molting process, not just at the end! It's a very fun colour!
Dark Eyed Honey: Looks like a nutmeg before the molting. I always like an orange coat with dark eyes. Looks very attractive!
Blue: I guess this will be very hard to get, but very nice and rare color for an animal to have.
Perosnally I'm not really into the Pied/Spotted colours, or even the Siamese/Burmese colours which look elegant and seem to be quite popular among gerbil owners. However, a gerbil is still a gerbil no matter its colour. I like all gerbils!

The Ruby Eyed White (REW), [aaCCD-E-ggpp spsp], has a very light colour that is hardly to distinguish with the white colour of a Pink Eyed White, which are clear white. So their fur is almost white, but the eye colour of a Red Eyed White is red, while the Pink Eyed White does have pink eyes. The nails are natural. Scientifically this colour is named ‘Off-White’. The Pink Eyed White (PEW),[--cHcH------pp sp-], is a gerbil with the colour genes cHcH en pp. So the whole gerbil is clear white with pink eyes. This colour looks like an albino, but is not it! The albino Mongolian gerbil still doesn’t exist. The true albino would be caused by a mutation that would be designated with the symbol c, and not cH as with this colour. So true albino gerbils would have cc in their colourgenes (and not C, cb or ch)! They are indeed hard to get. I know people in the Netherlands, Germany and Denmark who have blue and/or other dilute colours (dd). In the UK are also some breeders who have these. But as far as I know they are still not available outside Europe, but I'm not totally sure if maybe some breeder has imported some yet. Here their availability: Europe: Very Rare! Discovered in gerbils kept at the University of Osnabrück in 1997. Distributed to breeders April 2002. In the UK they are Extremely Rare, imported from The Netherlands April 2002. North America Not Present! South America: Not present! Asia: Not Present!
