Here is one of my gerbils (recently decesed) I was wonderingif you could help we work out what colour she is? I wasn't really into the gerbils colour and genetics like i am now and it's been bugging me 4 ages! and i finally found a decent pic. So what do you think? Amy x x

Hi J! Thanks for your opinion, but i don't think she is . I have cp nutmegs now and they look very differnt. I was having a look at some more colour pages and i think she was maybey a sort of siamese? Amy x x

I would think a siamese too! A cp nutmeg is somewhat different as you can see on the photo below!

Thanks everyone I have a few more questions to ask ( sorry but i still can't get my head around it!) I have already asked in the previous forum what colour my present gerbils are. I think they are either silver colourpoint nutmeg or just colourpoint nutmegs. Here are a few pics in natural daylight: Also, when they were 5 weeks old the pups had an orange stripe down their backs: Does indicate the colour of the father? I don't know what colour he was All the photos and descriptions i've seen the pups seem to be a light grey colour at 5 weeks. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!!! Amy x x

They are not siamese! Might be a cp nutmeg, but I don't know! I'm not a cp expert, because I don't have any cp colours!
Tigru, I know you have! What do you think?

Hi,
Do they have a cinnamon coloured ticking in their fur?
I have a pup like that just now and think he's a colourpoint agouti. Maybe same as yours??
The gerbil in your first post is definitely Siamese.

Hi floppy No they don't have cinnamon ticking in their fur. The only orange type colouring i have seen in them was when they were pups

OK!
The one I have with the cinnamon ticking is nearly 4 weeks old so I guess he could lose that colour as he gets older. I still think he's a colourpoint Agouti though!
