Hi Ollie!
Percentages for LCP slate and grey agouti is 100% grey agouti unless there are recessive genes. (If the grey agouti had a recessive a, you would get 50% grey agouti and 50% slate).

The more recessive genes they have, the more colours the pups will be! When you write down the genetics, you only have to cross the genes that are different in the parents. Example: Black: aa CC DD EE GG PP spsp Golden Agouti: AA CC DD EE GG PP spsp Pups aa x AA = Aa, so 100% golden agouti (Aa CC DD EE GG PP spsp) I will do one, because I don't have much time today! Maybe later more.... Nutmeg x LCP Slate aa CC DD ee GG PP spsp x aa c c[H] DD EE gg PP spsp
Than you only have to cross: CC ee GG x cc[H] EE gg (the rest is the same)
So pups will be: Cc Ee Gg and Cc[h] Ee Gg
Complete genes: aa Cc DD Ee Gg PP spsp = Black aa Cc[h] DD Ee Gg PP spsp = Black (possibly a bit lighter) Both 50 %, or 100% black gerbils!

But when you don't know the genetics it is difficult to tell which colours the pups will have!!!
Many gerbils have several recessive genes in their genetics. Example: Two golden agouties with Aa CC DD Ee GG PP spsp will give : AA CC DD EE GG PP spsp = Golden Agouti AA CC DD Ee GG PP spsp = Golden Agouti AA CC DD ee GG PP spsp = Dark Eyed Honey Aa CC DD EE GG PP spsp = Golden Agouti Aa CC DD Ee GG PP spsp = Golden Agouti Aa CC DD ee GG PP spsp = Dark Eyed Honey aa CC DD EE GG PP spsp = Black aa CC DD Ee GG PP spsp = Black aa CC DD ee GG PP spsp = Nutmeg
It is: Golden Agouti: 56,25% Dark Eyed Honey: 18,75% Black: 18,75% Nutmeg: 6,25%
Maybe you understand it now a bit more?!
