Do you know any other of the nutmegs genetics?
You'll have to breed the nutmeg with a DEH, yellow fox, polar fox, or apricot gerbil unless you know the genes of the gerbil you purchase to breed with the nutmeg. IF you can find out it's gene's any gerbil carrying A- -- -e -- -- will give you a percent of DEH's. Maybe you can find someone who has a golden agouti, they're available almost anywhere, carrying a recessive e. Otherwise just ask ppl if they have an avail gerb carrying A and e.

Oh, I didn't know you were in Russia. If you breed nutmeg with Golden agouti you may or may not get DEH pups, it all depends on if the golden agouti carries e. But you will definentley get golden agouti pups that will carry Aa C- Ee G- P-. These pups if bred with a nutmeg (don't breed the pup to it's parent or grandparent) will have DEH pups, and also nutmeg, black and golden agouti with a possibility of more colors. So it may take you 2 generations but you'll definentley get DEH. Did you breed the nutmegs yourself? What color gerbils do you have besides nutmeg?

Wow colorpoints! ;D I've been looking for any pup carrying cb so I can start a burmese/siamese line but haven't found any breeders near me. Have you bred the nutmegs before? Because if you have bred them to a non-self gerbil then you could use those pups with a golden agouti and get DEH pups in a single pairing and you won't have to wait for 2 generations.

I also wanted Burmese and possibly Siames. I found one in a petstore (female) and got a male spotted so that I could breed. So far nothing. I think that the female is too old. I can't figure out why a Female Burmese would be in a pet store?

Wow, that is strange, a burmese in a pet store, but really lucky. I know petco and petsmart in my area take peoples gerbils if they can't take care of them anymore. Petsmart rehomes them or puts them to sleep but sometimes petco sells them so she could be older. I wish I could find any gerbil carryin cb and a(since I have a DTW w/ aa chch EE Gg PP) I'd be sure to get siamese ;D I've checked ags, and random internet searches but no luck Have they not mated, or has pregnancy just not taken?
