Hello all, I am quite confused and possibly excited. Momma Bear's 2nd litter is 4 pups, 1 is a sp Burmese, 1 Burmese, 1 PEW and the last one has white fur and dark eyes. What would that be? A Polar fox??? A DTW?? I can hardly stand it.

Momma bear and Squirt are both aa CbCb, so their pups have to also be aa CbCb. The pup has dark eyes so it *cannnot* be pp. That means it could only be recessive at g or e. aa CbCb gg would give you cp slate, and that's darker than burmese, so...
I'm guessing it could only be aa CbCb ee, which would be a cp nutmeg.

Here is a picture of the pup in question What do you think? Is it still a CP Nutmeg? I am so excited. They are beautiful. Of course I was hoping for a polar fox. Thank you Queenie for your feedback. I now have pictures to look at on AGS to see what she will look like as an older gerbil.

I think if she is a colourpoint nutmeg she will molt and get dark tips to her fur (black ticking) after 8 weeks old. The colourpoint gene means the black ticking will be more intense thus darker at her nose and tail, so a very striking looking gerbil.

I think she will be beautiful. I am going to *try* to keep her and perhaps another of Bear's offspring (perhaps the SP Burmese female).
On a side note, I have now put Bear and Squirt back together. Finally all of the pairs are back where they belong and there are no loners and no split cages. Best of all, No more pups unless I decide to pair up some others.

If the ears, nose and tail start to darken in the next week, I'm quite sure it's a cp nutmeg. I would definately keep her for breeding later (or just keeping cause she's cute).

I am defintiely going to keep her and perhaps the SP Burmese female. She is beautiful. Thanks for the info. I was also thinking of keeping her perhaps to breed in the future but for now, I need to adopt out 6 more pups and I am hoping that Bear is not pregnant since Squirt was nuetered 3 days after her last litter was born.
I will let you know if her extremities darken!! They have not as of today and it is about a week since your post. I am just now gettingaround to replying. Life has a funny way of keeping me busy!

She is a pretty little pup! Tell me if she turns out to look like Feisel, then I'll finally know what color she is. She looked like this when I bought her (probably about 6 weeks) She looked like this after another month and I just took this picture 2 seconds ago because she's sitting on my lap right now! She's probably about 4 or 5 months old.

I will let you know. Fiesle is beautiful. I hope she does look like that!!
Queenie, she does have a slightly darker tail and ears now. I can't wait to see what she will look like when she is grown.
