Hi, This may seem like a stupid question, but I was wondering how to breed to get a grey agouti or polar fox pup. These are the two prettiest colors to me and I wanted to try for one of them. Currently, I have two breeding pairs who both have yet to have litters. 1) Lilac male and pied DEH female(pictures of both below) img.villagephotos.com/p/2005-4/988209/gerbil1.JPGimg.villagephotos.com/p/2005-4/988209/femalelilac.JPG2) Siamese male and dove female(picture of Siamese below) img.villagephotos.com/p/2005-4/988209/Siamese1.JPGI was wondering, depending on the pups of each pair, whether I could pair one of the pups from one litter with a pup from the other and be closer to getting a Grey Agouti or Polar Fox? As you can tell i'm kind of lost on this whole thing. Thanks. Clay

Clay, if you like those colours you will probably like the Colourpoint Grey Agouti (Pearl) and the lighter Light Colourpoint Grey Agouti (Silver Pearl). In addition, the Colourpoint Golden Agouti is very similar in appearance too. I just looked at your pictures. Your "Siamese" male is actually a Burmese! In that case you can breed him to your DEH female and back breed an Agouti female pup to him to get Colourpoint Golden Agouti pups, among others. Or, you could breed two agouti pups together to get even more colours, since they would carry c(chm) and e recessives. It would only take about 3 months to do that! A Colourpoint Golden Agouti:
