Lately I've been thinking about Colourpoint Golden Agouti's and I made a little inventory of my pictures. I also took more pics of a lovely big Colourpoint Golden Agouti I have named Gerald. He carries several recessives: [Aa c(chm)c(chm) DD Ee G* Pp] and shows the classic gold tail quite distinctly (I think this is because he carries e). It is possible he carries g, though none of his pups so far have proven it so the jury is still out on that one. Here he is: Just a nice big boy! Here you can see the cinnamon shade to the ticking: Showing off his ticking and tail: Now going back in time, here are some Colourpoint Golden Agouti gerbils that definitely do not carry e or g recessives but might carry a and/or p: Young boys before the final ticking develops: A Colourpoint Golden Agouti pup at fuzz stage, next to a Burmese: Spotted Colourpoint Golden Agouti: before final ticking comes in, and after: Finally, Light Colourpoint Golden Agouti: before the final ticking comes in (under 8 weeks old): and after:

Yep that is Kandice. The LCP below her is Devonia, her mom.

Hey sandy, if the gerbil on the very first picture carried c(chm)c(chm) wouldn´t it be a REW???

No, Gilberto, because he carries a P dominant gene and does not have two g and a recessives. Welcome to the forum, by the way.
Here are the Grey Agouti colour variants:
Grey Agouti: [A* C* DD E* gg P*] Slate: [aa C* DD E* gg P*] Ivory Cream: [A* C* DD E* gg pp] REW or Red/Ruby Eyed White: [aa C* DD E* gg pp]

Sorry, I meant DTW, if a gerbil has chch and P- wouldn´t it be a DTW? Thank you for welcoming me into the site, I already introduced myself in another thread...I think I already know you from the other forum site Gerbils UK....
