I've never seen it before, but probably it is ok. Only if it is powder, it can cause a lot of dust in the room where they live in. But hard to tell if I never tried it.

I wouldnt use it, Just because it says its for gerbils and dwarf hamster doesnt make it a good product. The same company makes something called Chinchilla sand which is less powdery and more grainy. Powdery and dust baths can get into their respiratory system and cause illness ect... You should look into buying a bag of childrens sand thats unbleached and un dyed, youll save more money in the long run. I bought a good amount of children play sand for a few dollars at headwear store. But the other stuff looks like this

Indeed play sand works too. I use bird sand, works fine too! And both are cheaper than Chinchilla sand, and most likely that bath powder. Chinchilla sand is specially made for the sensitive fur of chinchillas, gerbils have not such sensitive hairs.
That bath powder is made of volcanic pumice powder, fine sand and other earth minerals. Is it really a powder or just like other sands? Does anyone know that?

I honostly dont know since I never bought the poweder, But Im not going to bother buying it just to find out its no good when I can get something esle that I know is safe enough, like the product I suggested or the childrens play sand. Iv always been told to stay away drom "dusts" and "powders"

I've used the powder for many years before I even knew there was a sand. I've never had a sick or ill gerbil either. Actually I have both Chinchilla Dust and Sand in my play tanks, and my gerbils prefer the dust. I actually feel the dust does a better job of making them less greasy looking too.
