I have two gerbils, a male and a (hopefully) pregnant female. I also have a 5 month old kitten. Well, Mr. Kitty (Dolphin is his name), had recently taken to watching my gerbils. Nothing intense, just sitting and watching. So, tonight I am watching a movie with my little sister. I come downstairs and Dolphin is missing. I then get to do a double take. There, in the 10 gallon tank with the gerbils, is Dolphin. He is curled up on one side and Freddy and Cindy are on the other side, staring at him. Cindy walks over and sniffs Dolphin. Dolphin just sniffs back and stays curled up in his ball. I have no idea how long he had been there, no idea how he actually moved the hood to squeeze in there without knocking it off, and no idea if he is really a cat since he did nothing to my gerbs - apparently, he just wanted to watch them from a very good spot. It was so funny, yet scared me out of my mind. So... hardware cloth gets to go on top of the cage under the hood. No more chances, I got very lucky - but darn if the pics aren't the cutest things. LOL. If I can ever get them off my phone, I'll post them.

Haha! Would I love to see pics of that! You must train your cat to be pretty loving of all animals .. cuz if that was my cat my gerbils would be ...... cat food. lol .. maybe it's cuz he's still a kitten? If cats & gerbils could get along like pals, I think that would be the sweetest thing.

That's what I thought too. LOL. After I got over my initial fear, I knew I had to get a picture of that. I think that's what cracked me up the most - he was just curled up in there! The gerbils have since been made safer, so at least now I know it won't happen again, but I look at that picture and it just cracks me up each and every time.

HAHAHA,
That would have been a good idea. With this kitty, I should have a camera attached to my hip - just the other day he jumped on top of my sisters head in order to get past her. (She was sitting on the stairs). He's hilarious!
