one day, we put one of the wire tops on the cage. i liked it, and so did my girls. then, tiger,, our orange kitten started to like it to...
one day, i was in the room, and tiger was getting most of his paw through the wire. he couldn't get it in, so i let him have a his fun, but i watched him very carefully. trouble started when jackie came to investigate. tiger started swiping at her, and she, the little devil she is, started fighting back!!!!! i was scared out of my mind! i screamed and strggled to pull him away, but he would not. my sisters bf pulled him away. jackie ((and tiger!)) was ok.
it dosen't sound scary, but... the cats and gerbils don't have good history. see i loved you, so i died, for more details... but after, i was quite proud of jackie... but it scared me deeply.

I know the feeling. One morning I came into the hallway to see a burmese pup (6 weeks) wandering down the hall with the cat following a foot or so behind her!!! The pup and her mother had been in a plastic bin and had chewed out one corner. The mom was sensible enough to hide from the cat, but not the pup! Thankfully both the cat and the pup were too dumb to know what to do with the situation, and I came upon it in time to intervene!
