I went to a very large flea market today to look for stuff to decorate my house. When I go, I always have to stop by the animal vendors, just to see what is happening over there. Well, tons of puppies and domestic fowl, a few parrots and livestock. Then I see a sign for 'Small animals'. Uh oh. Here we go.
I walk into the shack/hut/tent and there are tons of hamsters, all in 2 cages running around. You know they're all pregnant, right? Hmmm. Then i see a gerbil sign. It says "Gerbil 4 Sale. Born 1/14/07. $12.00" Yeah, you read that right!!!! It isn't even 4 weeks old!!! And, no she didn't mess up the date, because the poor thing was TINY, as a 3 week gerbil is, and all alone! How sick is that, to try and make $ off of some unsuspecting person? Ugh, I was disgusted. She was also selling, yes SELLING Australian shepherd/Bassett hound crosses and had the nerve to list them as a registered dog! Registered by who? It is nothing more than a mutt (as far as the true registeries are concerned) and I am sure that she was getting at least 200 dollars off of the pups.
People can really drive you nuts sometimes!

He was doing very poorly (of course), eyes closed, not moving....if I bought it, it would have only made that sick woman some money, and she would just replace it with another. As hard as it is to do that, I had to leave it amanda

Yipyip, sadly in cases like that if you give in to the urge to 'rescue it' by exchanging money, you're doing no good as another will be placed in its position. Best to try to get authorities involved IMHO
