I have NEVER seen them with males and they told me that they only sell females there. I thought that males were hard to find just because it seems to be females only around here

HELP!!

really... in my petsmart they only sell females, thats why we only have females between my friend and I That's good to know then. Guess they send the females to some stores and the males to others. I was afraid they'd be used as snake food or killed. I was told the reason they only sell males here is so people can't get stuck with accidental litters and then blame petsmart and take the gerbils back...etc. Or so that people wouldn't breed their gerbils on purpose and make Petsmart lose money. hahaha. Doesn't even make sense because Petsmart isn't the only petshop, especially with Petco 2 minutes down the street who sells both males and females. And really. Would it really be SO hard to use 2 cages like Petco does or hire people that know how to sex gerbils?

OH, I forgot that you were from Canada! There are only two Canadian breeders listed! One from Willowbeach and one from Brampton. The URL I had of the Canadian Gerbil Society is not valid anymore!

You could contact a breeder in your neighbourhood and ask which colours they have, age, etc. Just send them an e-mail!
Queenofthenile! THanx for that list, that was still new for me!
