alright guys, so i just started breeding, picked up 2 blackies from the pet store outta a cage with like 6 and luckily she had babies like 2 weeks later! since then she raised a litter of 4, whom i let stay in the cage until i realized they were probly the reason her other pups are done. now they are removed, all 4, and the blackies still got their 20 gal tank, with their one black daughter. now, i have 2 male and 2 female kids, i want to introduce the males back in, or at least one, so they breed with the black daughter, however they have not been where they were brought up at in like 5 days. i threw goldie back in there, and he started to fight with pops it seemed, not to the death, but they were chasin each other pretty fast. is it possible to get them back in there, if so, how? help!!

btw i LOVE how i didnt have to sign up for these forums!!!
and uh, the only black daughter opened her eyes really early, does this mean she will mature quicker? shes eatin solids a lot earlier than normal i think, and has some nice teeth upon inspection.
id say shes about 20 days old(give or take some), do you think i could just take her out and put her in a tank with one of my older males???

I think I am confused (of course it does not take much to confuse me LOL). If I "heard you correctly, you have 2 blacks from a pet store. One had pups 2 weeks after you got her home (which probably means she was pregnant when you got her). She is in the tank with the other Black male you purchased along with her daughter? You now want the boys from the litter to mate with the daughter?
Is that correct? Before I answer I want to make sure I have understood your goal and the current situation.

It really sounds like you are planning on a dangerous breeding situation. If you are breeding, you should have only *one* female in with *one* male. You will likely have fighting otherwise. Secondly, if you were planning to breed, then you should have *at least* got your gerbils from two different pet stores. Right now, you have a brother and sister having babies and now you want to breed your inbred babies back to the parents . That is highly irresponsible. Petstore gerbils are often inbred already, so you are really increasing the likelyhood of having genetic deformities in the offspring. Have you found homes for the babies? Do you have a breeding plan? Right now it just sounds like you are trying to get as many babies as possible. Maybe you can clarify for us, as Sweetie asked.
