Well, my introduction of Philbert and Puppy was not a success. My husband is urging me to try the water intro method, but I've never done it and have a couple of questions for those who have. What are the long-term results and how stable are the pair after their more or less forced acceptance? Has anyone who's used this method had their pair subsequently fall apart or do they tend to stay together? RW

I tried it and it didn't work for me. Others on this forum have had great success, however. How long have you had them split-caged?

Five weeks. I normally wouldn't have left them split caged quite that long, but I needed a full day to devote to keeping an eye on them if the intro seemed like it was going to be successful. It lasted ten minutes before they gerbilballed. RW

For me it did not work completely! I have now two gerbils that live seperate! But I know it works for others.
