I thought the intro went well between Lemmiwinks and Smokey. They were sleeping together and grooming and all that good stuff, but today Smokey (the new guy) has a bite on his nose. I cleaned it off with a q-tip gently and dabbed a bit of neosporin on it, then I cleaned the cage out really really to prevent infection. I had my roomie watch them while they ran around in the tub as I cleaned and she didn't see any fighting, just a lot of running around and standing up to see what was going on. I put them back in the cage now to see how they interact and just saw them grooming again...so now I am wondering if I should seperate them or leave them together but just kep an eye on them. I just used straight Carefresh with no alfala or paper shreds this time for cleanliness sake

If you don't notice any obvious aggressive behaviour, I would keep them together. Just keep an eye out for chasing, excessive marking/mounting, and squeaking.

Sometimes a wound can be caused by a single fight (they have very sharp teeth), or it can also be caused by an (sharp) item in their enclosure!

I can't think of any sharp objects in thier enclosure, all I give them is bedding, wood, hay, paper, and cardboard. Must have just been a spat... Silly boys!
