Well my two gerbils in the cage at time's the smaller one grabs the bigger one and they both freeze and sniff eachother's necks then dash in opp directions.. is this an aggresive sign? *Both are male*

It sounds fine to me. My gerbils have never done this, however. I wouldn't worry unless one of the gerbils starts squeaking or hiding.

It sounds like the younger or smaller one is play fighting. They do this when young. In addition to what Queenie mentioned, look for excessive chasing, the two rolling around together, or thumping.

Not much chaseing, no thumping I would def hear it I would think, and no rolling, guess they are fine

I've seen that before in a few of my gerbils. Seems like a dominance thing, like they're testing eachother. With the freeze, stare/glance and neck thing it's like they're waiting for eachother to make the first move. Neither end up making the first move towards the neck, so they bolt off in opposite directions.
Also from what I've noticed with mine, it usually starts with one being annoyed. Maybe he's chewing something and the other interupts him or gets in the way. One is trying to eat, the other is sniffing around his face or under him to see what he's got... One wants to groom the other and th eother doesn't want to be groomed ..etc.
