Yet again, Leah has helped me figure out the best way to have my gerbils paired to get the colors I want and to lower the number of pups I get (I'm cutting down a bit). My old setup for my gerbils was as follows: Misery (Dove) + Hades (Golden Agouti) Tucker (Golden Agouti Pied) + Grace (Argente Spotted) Asha (CP slate) + Thorne (PEW) Then I had one lone female, Fate, a black pied. I have now repaired my gerbils so that it looks like this: Misery + Grace (Same sex, no breeding) Hades + Thorne (Same Sex, no Breeding) Asha + New LCP Agouti male Logan ( Siamese) + Asha/lcp males son. I have not yet gotten Logan from Leah yet, as we are waiting for Asha and her new mate to have give birth so he can have a mate. Hades and Thorne are together already and getting along great, although Hades is acting very strangely, never leaving Thornes side and always rubbing up against him and cuddling...it's odd. Does anyone know why he might be doing this? Tucker and Fate are also together, and they are getting along so far. No fighting, and they are currently sleeping together. I will be introducing grace and Misery soon, but misery has to nurse her pups a while longer. Thanks for all of your help, leah!

No problem Crazycritter! I'm happy if you're happy . Do you know what colours Fate's parents were, or what colour pups she produced with Hades? I can't remember if she is CC or CCh...

I never had Fate's parents...
She produced, if I'm remembering correctly, agouti, black spotted, argente, and lilac.

I am intrigued. How do you keep the number of gerbils down? Help me. I like this concept and hope to take full advantage of it. I appreciate the help you have given me Queenie and I am confident that the colors and the temperment of mine are perfect matches!! ALthough I love Blackie, she is not one to have babies, being that she is the least tame and quickest to bite!
