Goat and the new pup Feisal (both female) seem pretty interested in seeing each other, and like to rub noses through the bars of the cage. I thought that maybe this means they feel kind of friendly towards one another, and I wanted to put them in the same aquarium for just a second to see what they do. Would that be safe as long as I supervise, or could one jump on the other and bite them before I even realized it? thanks for your help!, Devun

they've only been split caged for a little more than 24 hours, by the way. Goat is 6 months old and Feisal is about 5 weeks.

5 weeks?
don't even bother with the split cage. they'll get along instantly.
Adults don't attack babies because they don't have that territorial/puberty smell/problem thing. The older female will more than likely get all maternal on her and protect and groom her.

Devun,
You may want to be very careful when you try supervised. Reason being is that it only takes a second for them to latch on. You might want to be very careful. If you have a play fence or try the tub, try putting a bunch of obstacles in it and things for the little one to hide in to get away. Then at least there will be less of a chance for her to be hurt. That way she will feel more secure with hiding places.
I think being a young pup it *should* be okay but being over prepared could not hurt!! Better to be over prepared than under prepared.
Good luck keep us posted.
