Hi, yesterday I got two gebils to be with my one gerbil that I already had. (The other one died). I am using the split cage method, and sofar it is working. After the FIRST day, all three of them are already sleeping next to eachother! ;D What are some other signs that it may be ready to put them together? Thanks.

well, i would try introducing them (but make sure u are with them) and if they dont get along, then i would keep the split cage for another week of 2.

I want to put them together, but I am afraid that it is still too early. I don't want them to fight at all. Would it be safer to wait...or... is it better to get them together sooner?

Since they are sleeping beside each other, I would definately try now. That is probably the best sign that they are ready to be introduced (that and grooming each other through the bars).
