i recently took away the divider from the cage. i think it is going well, but they sleep together and i hear a squeek. then they go nose to nose and one squeeks.
i don't now if this is good or bad?
sugetions?

They may just be figuring out dominance. If you only hear an occasional squeak and don't see other aggressive behaviour, it is fine. If you see lots of chasing, mounting, or hear lots of squeaking, then I would be concerned.

I think that squeaking is a normal part of all pairs. That is how they communicate. Most of the communication is out of our hearing range. If you don't see any aggressive behavior or fighting, I would say they are okay. Some gerbils just squeak more than others.
