I got a Spotted Black and I introduced him to my other 2 Siamese on a quite different way then they subscribed i did as followed. 1. I let the Spotted Black get use to my room by letting him in the box and just put it on my desk. i did that 4 10-15 minutes. 2. I opend the box and tried to let him come out by using food/peanut, at first he was a little scared offcourse and he stayed in the box but after a few minutes he went for the food and eventualy my hand. 3. when he got al little settled on my hand i puttid him back in the box and gently in the tank, emediatly the other 2 came and have a look i watched close then i waited for another 10-15 minutes. 4. after the 15 minutes i opend the box and lett him out and watched what the 3 would do,there was allot of sniffing, kissing and running around the Spotted Black just lett it come over him. 5. After 30 minutes I saw that he was accepted by the gang. Some Note's:2 Siamese both 20 Weeks old. 1 Spotted Black 6 months old. This is my report on maybe a new kind of introduction method. if you get another Gerb maybe you can try it out,if you do plz tell me/us about it.

It might be! Only personally I don't think it will work for all gerbils, as they have not much time to get used to each other. Probably you have very easy gerbil! ;D Great photos by the way! Especially the one where you see the "kissing, sniffing, etc. " and mounting!

Why do gerbils of the same sex mount each other?
