I just recently got a new female gerb . Whats strange about it is that after i tamed her she started letting me stick my finger into her cage an leting me pet her for 15 minutes non-stop! She'd be sitting in her nest an i would stick my finger in her cage an i'd start sratching the side of her face an she'd tilt her face over an let me accsess her trought . have you ever taken note of this befor Peter?What about all the rest of yall? PLEASE TELL ME !!!!!!

Hello Brandon! ;D It looks indeed that you have a quite docile and well tamed gerbil! You don't see this a lot. My own gerbils don't do this, even the well tamed ones. So you're lucky! ;D

I knew one gerbil that would let me do this to her, and she was *extremely* untame. She was also kept singly, so I think she was so lonely for companionship that she would even accept my touch. Any other time, she would run and hide from my hand.

that's very tamed! How did You get her so tame it's probebly in the gen's but tell me anyway

She sounds wonerful. When my hand goes into any of my cages, it's then filled with active gerbils, no one wants to stay still for a pet when it's play time... lol
I hear rat's show that kind of temperment for being pet.

Some of mine will sit for a bit then they are off. I think it is really flattering that they appreciate the touch knowing that they are by nature *antsy*

maybe your gerbil's afraid to move once you touch it. one of my gerbil's like that, especially when they're meeting new gerbils.
