I have 5 gerbils. There are 2 clans, the 1st one has 2 (rody, burkie) and they are around 7 months. My 2nd clan has 3 (mini, squeaky, battle) and they are around 4 months. Is it possible to introduce them?

No. Females do not do well in groups larger than 3 (in my experience, only pairs work). Both of the groups are now 'clans' and will recognize other gerbils as intruders. It will not work to introduce them.

Not even a split-cage intro for a few weeks? Well if it is risky, I won't try it. It was only an idea anyway.

Hey Ryan,
It is a great thought and would make it easier however, they will most likely hurt each other. You 2 older girls will not accept the younger ones. Even in the rare event the split cage works, the girls will probably declann after a while any ways.
I know how hard it is to have them separate and I know how much you value your girls. When I tried to introduce Bear to Sweetie and BLackie, it was horrible. The 2 clanned girls were extremely aggressive toward her. I have never seen Sweetie in such a vicious state. I was shocked at the gerbils I was seeing because it was so different than my cute, friendly, little Sweetie.
In short, I think that your suggestion is great in concept but it might not be worth the risk trying to find out if it has merit.
