Hi all, OK, I'm sure this has come up before and you guys are all experts so help me out. I just got 2 new gerbils and they are about 6-8 weeks. They are both males. I've noticed that one seems to be a little more dominant but they are getting along. They are both from the same litter and have been together just fine since they came in at my PetsMart. I guess I'm just a little worried about them fighting as they get older so are there any signs I should look for that might indicate a problem? Since they've grown up together, there shouldn't be a problem, even though they're both males, right? Many thanks! -Jeremiah _______ Gerbils Rock!

SO you have couple of 'kids' squabbling now an again Believe me its perfectly normal. The difference between quarrelling and fighting can be difficult to identify but if they seem to be trying to really hurt each other it's serious.

I don't think you should have any problem at all. Being they are both males and have always been together. A little boxing is normal, specially sicne they are both young and maturing, they need to esstablish who will be the boss, and I don't feel you shoudl have any problem with it turing into anything other than boxing and soem squeeking. So keep us updated, and you must post pictures! ! !
