Ok. In Rody and Burkie's tank their seems to be a problem. Rody is very fat (3.4 ounces) and Burkie is very small (2.1 ounces). Could Rody be hoarding the food? Or is it just that one is small and the other large?

There could be lots of reasons. -One may have a bigger appertite. -One may not eat much. -Some seem to have a natural tendency for getting fat, even if they eat the same. -I got this too. I found that it was normally the leader gerbil or the one that did less exercise got fat. -Also, with Vertigo (a past gerbil of mine), he got fat when he didn't have another gerbil regulate how much he ate. -Did you feed one more treats than the other?

Well I just put treats and food in the tank, but then I think Rody may get to it first. Should I start feeding Burkie by hand, or in an enclosure by herself?

Keep the food in the tank, but when giving treats, do that by hand. Becides, it means more to them when their mommy/daddy human give it to them. (Spree will eat anything with delight it I give it to him, even if I had just taken it out of the foodbowl and given it too him)
There is no need to feed them seperately if the smaller one looks fine. If you feel that he is getting too thin, then play with the fatter one just after you have changed the food in the bowl so the weaker one gets fist picks, but if they are both getting enough, I wouldn't worry about them.
Thinking about it. Tip-Ex is the smallest gerbil in the tank. You want to know how he stops the others from taking food? Well he sits iIN the food bowl which means the others can't take any!!! ;D
