here is my cage, its a 10 gal tank that i bought new for about $15 and made my own screen lid for it with spring loaded locks i also made myself. i am a shop teacher so it like making stuff. along with the plastic shelving. i would have put a lip on the shelves but i ran out of materials and i really did not want to buy any new materials for this project so everything was what i had or found. i want to add much more shavings, about 2-3 inches more, just i ran out of that as well. aslo i like what anorak made and might make that as well. i hope to add a second gerbil to the tank as well eventually.

This is what i've set up for my girl ready to pick her up on Sunday I think it's pretty good! My dad is making a lid for it in the next couple of days, then it will be all ready for it's inhabitant The brown log sticking out at the left hand side goes almost to the bottom of the shavings and there's a chube on the end of it underneath the woodshavings

This is my brand new set up which I house my two male gerbils in. I'm still improving on it and could use more bedding, toys and cardboard tubes for tunnels.

Gerbils are little angels that are always there for us... we just need to be there for them too. :)

Ok, these are going to change soon, as I can't stand seeing Casper so upset... Casper and Cashew were separated because I wanted to give her a brake from pregnancies. Home for Casper (left) and Cashew with pups (right) tank size: 91cm x 30cm x 30cm (3'x1'x1') Soon Casper is going to be introduced back to boys and they will live together. Home for Pysio, Pirate and Pingu tank size: 91cm x 30cm x 38cm (3'x1'x1'25") Currently these tanks are between 24 and 26 gallons but I will be making tank toppers for both of them.

Here's the re-do of the tank. The previous one seemed dull and un-natural. I just had to make it look more wild for them ;D

hey there, this is the cage that Cheese came to us in on Sunday. I felt so badly that he had no room to really dig, and whatever he pushed around went right out the side, LOL. sooo, today, hubbie and i went and got a 10 gal aquarium with a mesh top. i got a new bottle and wheel, but the wheel is way too small. lol. here is Cheese in his new little home... i like the look of the carefresh type bedding that i have, but it doesn't seem to pack very well for him to do tunnels. hmm. may try aspen next time.
