Hamsters are great pets, too What an upgrade for the gerbies!!!! It's so big, seeing it surrounded by those 4ftx1ft tanks really amplifies that point. Good job there! Mine go in the 55 this weekend, will have pics and might even make a thread.

Hamsters are fantastic but had to have 2 put to sleep within the last few months so a bit heartbroken. Got 4 more but probably stick to gerbils from now on It is an awesome new viv for them, the gerbils LOVE it and so fun to watch them, going to add some shelves next week if I can work out how to put them in Ohhh yeah cant wait to see your new one xx

Nice set up chakotay looks like they've both got plenty of space for burrowing and a good look-out station too! Do you ever have problems with them chewing the bars? That they do! When I'm in the kitchen, I'll sometimes see them sitting on their balconies watching me. Yes, they do take spells where they go after the bars.

I'm about to get a 20 gallon long tank, along with 2 adopted female gerbils (~2 years old). i already have 1 female in a ten gallon tank with a topper and love the topper.
Can anyone give me really easy directions for how to attach a ten gallon cage topper on a 20 gallon long tank?
thanks!

Here's my two girls setup. It's a 20 gallon tank with the top from what was supposed to be a rat cage attached. It's slightly different at the moment, stuff moved around removed and added, but this is what it generally looks like.
