Let it be for now- it may have either: Broken its paw or Simply just sprained itself or Gotten a big scare from falling. See how it is in the morning

If it is broken it should heal on its own - just try not to hold her just in case. If it heals to be a fixed wrist it shouldn't affect her in any way. They're hardy buggers - as I just found out yet again as Pepper fell off the damned desk

They're hardy buggers - as I just found out yet again as Pepper fell off the damned desk You see? Now I must really take Pepper away from you .. dangermouse: I'm sorry about what happened to your pup, in an ideal case you should bring it to the vet but only if you are able to .. hopefully it does heal, keep us posted!

Hahahahah stop stealing my Peppy!!! She's got too many food and playing quirks and is too tubby for either of you to handle!

She's got too many food and playing quirks and is too tubby I'm sure Pepper doesn't appreciate being called fat by her owner EX-owner. Now hand her over! You're lucky I don't call the association of politeness to gerbils, they have a rule against calling a gerbil fat you know. Hmph! The correct term is big boned. ... LOL. (Is anybody gonna give dangermouse some advice?? Dangermouse keep us posted!)

Dangermouse, I'd agree with everyone else. Keep her as quiet as possible, and if it heals on its own, chances are she'll figure out a way to move on with life. As was stated before, Gerbils are hardy, and I think she'll be fine. Just give it some time. If she really seems painful or the limb is getting very red and/or swollen, it's time to see the vet.

Hope the recovery is speedy!
Whitmoregirl, Bes: I think we have been arguing about Pepper in like 2 or 3 topics, lol. And yes. She is fat, like my Rody! Can you weigh her? My Rody is 3.2 ounces! Her cagemate, Burkie, is 2.1! lol. ;D

Pepper seems to be like how my dear Ruby was. Fat and no concept of gravity. (She walked straight off my parent's bed. She didn't realise that there was an edge -.-)
