Sorry Rhona - it certainly doesn't seem to work atm (not sure why?!?!?) Here's the phone no. 01723 585858 (I usually phone my order through as I don't like putting my card details on the internet if I can help it ) I order Code: URP252 which is 14kg sack of aspen for £15.71 ish (last time I ordered it!) Delivery is around £3-5 depending on how quick you want it. This sack lasts me about 3 months with changes every 2 weeks - oh, and it's rather large so I hope you have somewhere to put it lol! ;D Caroline

I'm a little confused on the aspen as some people sell it as "litres" and some as "kilograms". Even everythingforpets is selling "11 litres" and "14 kilograms". Thanks for the catalogue code Caz I registered on that site yesterday and today I was running all over it trying to find aspen. I put in that code and it showed up straight away.

No probs! ;D I just ordered some more yesterday too! and yes I get confused with the capacities too I suggested to the lady I spoke to to actually put the aspen on the 'gerbil' section as well as the reptile section so that we could all find it easier and she said she'd sort it Caroline

Hy everyone! I'm From Brazil and the only thing we can easily find here as bedding is wood shaving, made of pine:(here called Pinus). I don't know if it's safe like the british one or harmful like the american one. It's got a resin smellm but it's cheap.
Some people here use cat sand, but i red that it's the worse bedding you can use, that they eat the thing and it swells obstructing the bowel. It looks ugly, insn't diggable, but it's cheap. It it so bad for them?
At the moment I'm using Corn cobs. Don't really like it's smell, and it's not diggeble either. Here it is expensive, because I only find it in São Paulo, and I have to pay a lot for the transfer.
I just wanted to have something they could dig on, create chambers and stuff. So what can I do? I thought abou mixing corncob with some kind ok hay that i can found in here. Is every kind of hay good to use?
Is there anything else I can improve to use that they can dig on? Like, we don't have hemp or aspen here, so, any ideas?
Thanks,
Leo Paixão.

i thnk i am having a problem, my gerbs don't really seem to dig tunnels anymore, more like dens and burrows on top of the aspen but underneath the ledges of my tank.
So I put in a lot of aspen they don't do nay digging in it really, they just use the tubes and stuff I bought for them, so am i wasting the aspen as a lot of it is untouched.

It depends on what kind of wood. The short version: Aspen = good US Pine = bad UK pine = okay Cedar = bad

Is Total Comfort the same as Carefresh?

I've never seen it in stores, but I'd guess it's something similar. It's made out of recycled materials, and so is carefresh, so probably.

This is directed at the people who've bought aspen from www.everythingforpets.com.. I was just wondering how long it took for it to be delivered to you, because I ordered some about two weeks ago and I still haven't heard anything about it..

I've ordered from there before and my experience is that it can take a little while. Maybe send a friendly email asking when the estimated delivery date is?

I used a card and the only thing I ordered was one bale of aspen, so here goes: Email acknowledgement (two actually) of order on day ordered. Email acknowledgement that payment had gone through 4 days later. Item arrived 3 days later, preceding an email acknowledgment on the same day that it had been dispatched. lol Total time: 1 week.

Ring them up Delusional and chase your order up! 01723 585858 It's possible they could be out of stock which is why your order is taking so long. They will only quote delivery time from when the goods were despatched, not from when you placed the order I usually order by phone (don't trust the internet for my card details) and I always have the premier delivery at £5.95 and it's delivered within 3 working days. Ouija - just put less in on your next clean-out and see what they do. If they start digging, just add a bit more for them - at least you won't waste any if you start off with a smaller amount Caroline
