I am going to try to get my website up tonight. If I do, then I will put the address in here.

I really like the bubbles, I'm not sure why . I think the layout is just fine. It is simple to read and I like the spacy gerbil logo . My main question is: Isn't this website to serve mainly to rehome your pups? I was thinking that you might want to put a direct link to your 'adoptions' page in the text where you talk about where you live. The home page reads sort of like a gerbil FAQ rather than a breeder site. I think adding more information on the colours you breed, and your prices would rectify that. Maybe add a cute pup picture right there. You want people to be interested in learning more about *your* pups. Also, maybe you could reverse the order you talk about your site: ie: "This website is designed to display the wonderful pups available for adoption as well as provide information on gerbil maintanence and care." Rather than: "This website is designed to offer information about gerbils as perfect pets and to offer gerbils for adoption." This puts the rehoming of your pups as the primary purpose and the care information as secondary. I believe the first sentence is run-on. I would put - "Welcome to Evan and Emma's Angels Kennel! We are located in the Upstate Region of S. Carolina and are a proud member of the AGS." I think that reads more clearly. I also wanted to suggest that your name, "Evan and Emma's Angels Kennel", may be too long. I think it would be easier to pick out in a sentence if it were simply, "Evan and Emma's Angels". These, of course are merely suggestions! In addition, I would make a pop-up link for your email address. That way people can just click and email you that way. Here is the code for that: For more information, contact us <A HREF=mailto:evan1emma2@yahoo.com>here</A>. This will look like - "For more information, contact us here", with the word "here" being clickable. Again, this is just a suggestion to make things look more professional. I would remove your web address from the beginning of your site, it clutters up the headings. People will know that address from the navigation bar. In the gerbil maintanence section, the numbers are all skewed. For a first website, this is really good. What I've learned in the past little while, is it takes a lot of tweaking and work to make things perfect. Good job! I hope my comments are seen as helpful and not unconstructive criticism. Hopefully this website will help rehome those pups! Ah, one more comment. What did you use to create the website? In order to have your site show on the major search engines, you will need to use meta tags. Currently, your site doesn't have meta tags. I, or someone else can explain them if you are interested. Once the tags are in place, you need to submit your site to the major web searchers. This will take up to 2 months . My site is *finally* getting some hits on it, and I created it in August.

Hello Queenie,
You are right!!!! I appreciate your feed back and will impliment what I can. The wording I can change now. As far as the other stuff, I will try to change what I can.
I used a template. I am not sure how to create the link to the Email address. Do I just go in and re-type what you wrote specifically? Will the typing show up on the site?
I would love to learn about Meta tabs. I am such a novice. I thought that just by having a website that the search engines would pick it up!
I would appreciate any other help you have.

The absolute best thing you can do is borrow "Creating Web pages for Dummies" from the library. That's how I learned everything I know . Apparently, this site is a great web resource: www.w3schools.com/I haven't used it much, because I found the book was so good. The 'For Dummies' book does explain about meta tags, so hopefully you can find it at the library. I will try to explain it when I get online tonight (I have to go to work in a few minutes). Where did you get the template? Maybe if I could see the program, I'd know how to insert extra things. I dunno, I can't figure out how to use templates or specific programs. I found it much easier to just use html and write the code myself. But then again, I am weird that way ;D.

Great idea!! I will try to get that at the library. I have been so busy with "LIFE" that I need to figure out how to get 48 hours into one day!! LOL.
If you go to freewebs.com, you can see the templates. Many things I did, when uploading, were duplicated. I am not sure what they do but I can always learn html and redo it since I have the content done and the site up.
I already have 2 male gerb pups adopted. I need to get the other 2 girls adopted out and after the next litter adopt out the lone boy with a brother from the next litter.
Thanks for the advise and help. It is very valuable and appreciated.

You can add the sort of code I'm talking about if you upgrade to the html form of the website. (I think the option is under "my account" at the bottom). The only problem is that you cannot reverse this change and must know at least some html to do this. I would recommend making a second website to play around with first before you make up your mind. Upgrading to the html form allows you to directly access the code and change it. I actually really enjoyed learning html, so hopefully you do to !
