That’s really cool. Let us know how it does on the track! I’ve always been tempted to do one of those super car experiences you can do in some cities where you can drive a Lamborghini or something around a track. Forgot to post back about this (though I may have mentioned it somewhere), I initially booked a track day at Brands Hatch on Sept 13th, but on the 7th I tested positive for Covid fgs!! Fortunately I only had mild symptoms and was mostly over it by the end of the week, but of course I had to isolate and cancel the track day. Was also fortunate that Brands gave me credit back (it would normally have been too soon to the track date). So I rebooked for Oct 13th (can you tell I'm not superstitious? ). I was quite concerned that the weather would be rubbish, by then being deep into autumn, luckily it was dry all day and was even sunny sometimes!
I managed to stay on the track, which is good Although on one occasion it was rather close! As I came barrelling down the main straight (where I clocked myself doing 120 mph on one occasion), I braked for the corner and went to change from 5th down to 4th, but I screwed up and ended in 6th! . This, A. meant less engine braking, and B distracted me in general so I carried more speed into the corner than planed! The result was the back end coming out slightly on a ~70mph corner! I was quite worried for a couple of seconds, but kept my cool and counter steered my way out of it, phew! . The instructor didn't seem that phased by it! lol
Anyway, here's a couple of pics.

Yea it was great fun , although occasionally it was stressful when the few race cars would be right up your exhaust (which they're not supposed to do!). Me and my mate (who was with me in the car, bar when the instructor was) were amazed by how much grip it had! And he's no track rookie, as he had a fully kitted up track spec'd Golf some years ago, for at least a few years, and regularly tracked it. First few times around the corners I wasn't entirely sure we'd get round! But I trusted the instructor, not just because of his instructor status/experience, but he mentioned they had those M3s there as track hire cars.

A visitor to our garden: Next door have a walnut tree and the squirrels sit on our roof, eating the unripe walnuts and dropping the green shells all over the garden. This one looks like he's eaten one too many walnuts.

He looks well prep'ed for the winter! Unripe walnuts? You'd think that'd taste bad, and be slightly poisonous?? I guess not!

Apparently unripe walnuts have a rich, buttery flavour and are used to make an Italian liqueur called nocino. www.whatmunch.com/unripe-walnuts-green/I couldn't resist the squirrel smiley. You might regret what you've started there...
