I am so sorry Ryan.Have you had an escapee before ?
I've found that mongolian's respond very well,if you mimic their drumming sound. They can't seem to resist, coming out to see what is going on. Also, if you think you know which room she is in,put a deep enough container in the middle of the room, put some food inside it,maybe a bit of hay or bedding as well.Put something on the outside, for her to climb up (wooden playbricks are ideal).Hopefully, she will climb up,jump inside the container (plastic buckets are ideal) but be unable to get back out.
I do hope she turns up soon, good luck.

Bad news... We found her in the bottom of the heater/AC... She fell down the vent and died. She was a beautiful and sweet gerbil. She is the one in my small pic on the left. She was only 3 months old. Poor thing...

Yes, we all do. We all feel guilty about how we could have saved her. If my mom wouldn't have left the cage open, if my bro's ac/heater vent cover was on, if I would have opened up the ac as soon as I could when I heard her inside. It makes me feel like we killed her. She was a really good gerbil. And we learn that life is truly very precious.

Ryan, The "what if's" in life could kill you by them selves . Please don't feel that you killed her. It is some thing that happened and you can't go back. To think "what if" won't change that!! It is understandable that you feel responsible. It is understandable that you ask "what if". Please use those feelings to prevent it from happening the future but don't stay angry in the past!! I hope you are able to come to terms with Sandy's passing. I hope that your hurt subsides and the good memories take over! Again our thoughts and prayers are with you

Thanks for the advice and comforts all. I am getting better about being sad and feeling the blame. I just can't believe she was here in the morning, but when I got home she had passed away.
