Yeah, I guess that they just werent taught.... But I kinda always have had a grudge on those kids becuase they used to smack me, and Annika had a friend who hit me and tripped me when I was ten, and she laughed along with them... Ok, now I'm completely off topic. Typical me to blabber. (blahblahablahblahblah) (now I'm going to start talking about the weekend...... Argggggg.....

i've decided to set up a club for young children with pets and to teach them how to handle them. I think it will be fun to teach them how to handle animals. And they can bring their pets for more fun Whaddya think?

Great idea I've added a junior section to Furry Forums UK so if they want a place to chat and post they are welcome to join

Glad they sent you a letter Paws,I realise that a lot of kids are good with pets.....but unfortunately, there are also the little monsters who shouldn't even be allowed a cuddly toy, never mind a living creature. At the end of the day,our pets rely on us,to ensure their safety and well being. What happened to Paws and her gerb's,shows us all,to supervise anyone we don't know, handling our pets.
Now,about getting your gerb's to trust ppl again.Start off the same Paws,as when they were new and you were just getting to know them.no sudden or jerky hand movements, let them sniff your fingers etc.,offer them treats from your hands etc.Try handling them at the same time each day,a routine helps, and let them scuttle about on you, with out being frightened. They may not ever be as friendly, as they were before this.but I am sure they will improve a lot, under your t.l.c.

Oh GOOOOD I was really worried. I've been starting the sunflower seed-hand thing, and it's working. But we're out of sunflower seedies so I've been using Raisins......they wont even try them! "mmmmmmm smells good..... ugh! Tastes like gerbil food! " that's what they're saying. Sterling took a chunk out of one..... they literally ^DROPPED it in shock.

WHAT? No Sunflower seeds???!!! Better get some right away. No self-respecting gerbil should go without 'em. Unless they're on a diet, of course. Naughty Paws.

Paws and Sterling are getting much better . I have been cleaning Paws's coat for the last hour. He now looks like a shiny show gerbil. When he gets better will he ever be able to be shown? I know Sterling will not because his tail is short, but I would love to show them.

Well, Paws is completely better, and Sterling is stil really grumpy, like always (well, he's a black gerbil, and they aren't that friendly.) Paws has lost all the claws on that foot, and it still bleeds sometimes, but he is walking on it. He even tried to climb the splitter between him Fifi (Male grbie, just a nickname, Phoenix ;D) It was funny! He is back to his friendlyness now, and sits in my hand alot.
